Clothing, Art, and the Thieves
Clothing, once having the sole purpose of covering the body, is no longer just clothing anymore. Garments were originally designed to cover the body, whether with animal skin or fabric. What our society has now, however, are designers in charge of world fashion trends. They are forced to come up with new and different pieces of "body art" with each collection they produce.
I can't even imagine the pressure they must be under each season to produce more shocking and outlandish creations than the last time.
At the same time, it explains why the designs have nothing to do with actual "clothing" the body anymore. Fashion is more about ART, and this has been going on for decades. It has evolved into this because fashion is a game and the goal is to keep ahead of the never ending, lacking their own creativity, leeching copy cats. The designers must come up with something new and different and unfortunately, the cheap knock offs are making these pieces of art available for the masses now, when they were never designed to be.
Creativity and the Soul…
It is important to know that art comes from the designer's soul. Whatever is in their soul is also in their designs. When you wear a designer's art, you are wearing a piece of their soul on your body.
What if the designer is a tormented soul?
I personally don't feel so comfortable with just any designer's soul manifestation all over my body, but it happens all the time, to all of us.
When we are hooked(!) on any particular designer, has he or she managed to attach themselves to our soul?
